Limit Orders Keep the Timeout You Set

Resting limit orders now stay open for the full timeout you set on a channel, up to 10 days, and are cancelled when it runs out.

A layered entry places limit orders across the signal's entry zone and waits for price to come to them. How long they wait is your choice, per channel. In this release that choice became dependable.

Your limit orders keep your timeout

Your limit orders now stay open for the full timeout you set on a channel, up to 10 days. When that time runs out, TTMT cancels the orders that have not filled. A trade whose orders all expired shows as Not Filled.

If you set a timeout, it also applies after part of a trade has filled. The layers still waiting are cancelled at the same age, and the filled positions keep running.

This works on every account, cloud or self-hosted. There is nothing to turn on.

Where to set it

Set it on each channel:

  1. Open the channel.
  2. Go to Setup, then Orders & position size.
  3. Fill in Cancel unfilled limit orders after.

Leave it empty to use the 30-minute default. The default only applies while nothing has filled.

Orders can still be cancelled earlier, for example when price reaches a take-profit or the trade is closed.

The rest of the release

  • A new layout for Explore channel pages.
  • Fixes for Risk Limits, sizing and symbol mappings.
