Explore Shows Telegram Links We Checked

Explore channel pages only show a Telegram link we opened ourselves, and they say how long ago we checked it.

A channel directory is only useful if its links go where they say. Telegram links change and expire. From this release, a Telegram button on Explore means we opened that link recently.

Explore channel pages only show a Telegram link that we have opened ourselves, as a visitor who is not in the channel. The page tells you how long ago we checked it.

Anyone can see it, on the public Explore pages and in the dashboard. Open any channel on Explore. The Telegram button and the line "Link checked … ago" are in the Access section.

If we have no recent check, you see no button and a note that the link is being re-checked. Private channels show no link.

A checked link tells you the channel can be reached. It says nothing about how the channel trades.

The rest of the release

  • Onboarding can start from a channel page.
  • A faster trade log.
  • Fixes for billing, currencies and Explore.
