Gold Trader Mo (GTMO): What 4,767 Copied Trades Show

Gold Trader Mo, usually written GTMO, runs two Telegram channels: a public one, GTMoFx, and a paid VIP channel, GTMO VIP. Both post gold (XAUUSD) setups with an entry zone rather than a single price, a stop that is wider than most channels use, and several take-profit levels. TTMT users have copied 4,767 closed trades from the two channels; 67% to 68% of those trades finished in profit, and over the last 90 days 5 of 27 trader-channel results across them were positive.

Both of those numbers are real and they point in opposite directions. This post is about why, because the gap between them is the thing worth understanding before you follow any gold channel, Mo's included.

TTMT exists because of this channel. I was following Mo from Central European time, losing the setups that fired while I was asleep, and the first thing the parser learned to read was his message format.

The record, as of 14 September 2026

These figures come from TTMT's own Explore data, computed from trades that TTMT accounts actually executed on each channel. They are not the provider's own screenshots, and they are not a backtest.

Read those rows carefully, because each one measures something different.

Closed trades counts every trade TTMT placed from that channel's signals, for every user, since the channel was added. The win-rate column is the share of those trades that closed in profit, trade-weighted, so a user who takes many small trades moves it more than a user who takes few.

Traders in profit is user-weighted instead. It counts each distinct person once: their closed trades on that channel over the last 90 days are summed, and they land in the numerator if the sum is above zero. A trader who follows both channels appears in both rows, which is why I call them trader-channel results rather than people.

Median trader drawdown walks each trader's own cumulative return curve on that channel and takes the worst peak-to-trough fall, then takes the median across traders. The VIP figure of 36.5% is not one unlucky account. It is the middle of the distribution.

Sample sizes are small in the trader columns because TTMT is not a big platform, and channels with fewer than three traders in the window are hidden entirely rather than published as a percentage of two people. Treat 17 traders as an indication, not a verdict.

How a 68% win rate leaves most followers flat

The two numbers are not in conflict. A win rate counts trades. Being in profit counts money, and a gold channel with a wide stop makes those two things come apart.

Mo's setups typically risk a large distance to save a trade that goes against him first, and take profit in several smaller pieces on the way up. When that works, which it does about two times in three, you bank a fraction of the position at TP1 and TP2. When it does not work, the trade closes at a stop that was much further away than the targets were. Six wins and three losses can be a losing quarter with that shape, and no part of the provider's record is dishonest when it happens.

Then there is the part that has nothing to do with Mo. Between his message and your order there is a delay, a lot-size decision, and an entry zone you either used or ignored. The follower who takes the whole position at the top of the zone, on the first price they can get, is running a different trade from the one he posted. I have written up what that gap costs in pips and why it is where most of this money goes.

The 36.5% median drawdown on VIP says something specific too: the middle trader on that channel watched more than a third of their gains disappear at some point before recovering, or did not recover. If you are on a prop challenge, that number matters more than the win rate, because a daily loss limit does not care how the month ends.

Is Gold Trader Mo legit?

It is a real channel with a long record, and the trades TTMT has copied from it are consistent with what he posts. He runs teaching material alongside the calls rather than only posting entries, and he asks his room to report back on whether they caught each one.

What that does not mean is that following him will make you money. Our own data says most traders copying him through TTMT were not in profit over the last quarter. That is a fact about followers, not a claim about the provider, and the two are different.

Two things worth knowing whatever you decide.

Impostor channels exist for every well-known name in this business, and gold channels attract them more than most. Check the handle against the one linked from his own posts before you pay anyone.

Nobody legitimate asks to trade your account for you. Signal channels are a service. An offer to manage your money, from a signal provider or from someone claiming to represent one, is not.

What copying him well actually requires

If you are going to follow a channel that posts zones and wide stops, the execution has to match the strategy, or you get the losses without the structure that pays for them.

Use the zone. A signal that says buy 3,320 to 3,328 is telling you eight dollars of price are valid. Filling the whole position at 3,328 is a choice to enter at the worst end of his own range. Layered entries split the position across the zone so your average sits inside it.

Size on risk, not lots. Mo's stop distance varies a lot between setups. A fixed lot size means your actual risk per trade swings with it, in a pattern you did not choose.

Handle the follow-ups. Stops move, targets get cut, setups get cancelled. A copier that places the order and then goes quiet has automated the easy part.

Know when he posts. His setups cluster in the London session. If that is the middle of your night where you live, you are choosing between an alarm clock and automation.

That is what TTMT does with his messages: reads the zone, splits the entry across it, sizes each layer as part of one position rather than as a full one, and applies his follow-ups to every layer. Copying Telegram signals into MT5 covers the mechanics end to end.

What about Ben, Gold Trader?

Ben is the other name that comes up in the same conversation, and his public channel posts gold scalping setups with entry zones, a stop, and several targets, in the same broad shape as Mo's.

The record through TTMT: 582 closed trades, 60.7% of them in profit, and 1 of 8 traders in profit over the last 90 days. Smaller sample, same pattern.

If you follow both, note that you are taking two gold channels with correlated setups, often in the same session. That is one position sized twice as much as you think, not two independent bets, and it is the quiet way a prop account breaches a daily limit.

Check it yourself

Every number above is on the channel's own page in Explore, refreshed from executed trades rather than from anyone's screenshots, and the methodology page says exactly what each figure counts and what it excludes.

If you already follow Mo, the useful exercise is to compare your own fills with his posted entries for a month. The difference between those two columns is your execution cost, and it is the only part of this you control.

Not financial advice. Past results do not predict future results, and every figure here is a record of what happened, not a forecast.
