Most people who use TTMT are not at a desk when they check it. They are on a phone, between other things, during a working day that has nothing to do with trading. That is the whole premise of automating execution in the first place, so a dashboard that only works properly on a monitor is a dashboard that misses the point.
About a dozen screens have been recomposed for touch.
What changed
Tab rails scroll horizontally instead of wrapping into two ragged rows that push the content down.
Sheet footers are sticky, so Save is always reachable. Previously a long form on a small screen put the save button somewhere below the fold, behind a scroll you had to remember to do.
Touch targets are real touch targets. Not desktop hit areas with a phone stylesheet applied.
The trade view, the activity timeline, live positions, the chart, billing, the signal tester and the channel picker have each been rebuilt rather than shrunk. The channel picker in particular is now a bottom sheet, and it no longer launches the keyboard at you the moment it opens, which was the single most irritating thing in the product.
Why this shipped alongside percentage sizing
It went out with percentage sizing in the same release, and the pairing is not an accident.
Percentage sizing is the setting you want to change when you are away from your desk and a trade has gone somewhere you did not expect. It is no use having a live calculator that shows what 1% means in money if you cannot read it on the screen you actually have with you.
The honest limitation
Two screens are still better on a desktop, and I would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Deep column configuration in the trade log is one. Building a config profile from scratch is the other. Both work on a phone. Neither is pleasant, and I would do both sitting down.
